This recipe for caramel is super quick and it’s so versatile, especially around halloween! You can dip apples in it, drizzle it on ice cream and cupcakes or mix it into cake mix or frosting. It’s so delicious and only takes about 5 minutes to make.
It’s also fantastic as a dip so if you feel like fondu-ing then skip the melted chocolate and go for caramel instead!
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup almond/tahini butter
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
Add the maple syrup, almond (or tahini, both work) butter and coconut oil with the vanilla essence over a medium heat and whisk until combined.
Once the mixture looks smooth, take it off the heat and continue stirring until it thickens and lightens.
And that’s it! Enjoy.
